The Roofer Behind RoofTails
One person on the ladder, at the desk and on the job, so every roof gets a straight answer from start to finish.
My story
One Roofer, One Ladder, One Straight Answer
RoofTails grew out of a simple habit: climb up, look closely, then talk. Too many homeowners get a price from someone who never left the driveway, and they end up paying for work the roof never needed.
I keep the business small on purpose. When you send a message, I am the one who reads it, the one who walks your slopes and the one who sets each shingle back in place. You always know who is on your roof.
What I aim for is simple: a roof that keeps the weather out, and a homeowner who understands exactly why each piece of work was done.
On every visit
What I Look At Before I Say a Word
A stain on the ceiling rarely sits right under the problem. Water travels, so I look at the whole roof and the attic beneath it before I suggest anything.
Shingles and Ridge
Cracks, curling, bald spots and lifted tabs tell me how hard the sun and wind have worked on your roof.
Flashing and Seals
The metal around chimneys, skylights and walls is where most quiet leaks begin, so it gets a close look.
Vents and Attic Air
Trapped heat and damp air wear a roof out from below. I check that air moves the way it should.
Gutters and Edges
Clogged gutters and loose drip edge push water back under the shingles, so the edges matter as much as the top.
My promise
A roof should be fixed once, explained clearly and priced before any work begins.
If a small repair will carry your roof for a good while longer, that is what I will tell you, even when a bigger job would pay me more.
The process
From First Message to Last Nail
Every roof request moves through the same four steps, and you hear from me at each one.
Start a RequestTell Me About the Roof
Send the signs you have noticed, a rough age of the roof and a photo if you have one.
Up Close on the Roof
I walk the slopes and check the attic, then send photos of what the roof is actually doing.
The Plan in Writing
You get a plain list of the work, the materials and the price, with repair and replace weighed side by side.
The Work and the Cleanup
Shingles go on, flashing gets sealed, and the yard is swept for nails before I leave.
